With an area of 1 square kilometre, Thames Town is jointly developed by Shanghai Songjiang New City Construction and Development Co., Ltd, Shanghai Henghe Real Estate Co Ltd and other large real estate corporations. The town is entirely planned and designed by England’s Atkins Group. Hong Kong Construction Co., Ltd, the enterprise that was responsible for the interior and exterior décor of China National Grand Theater, was also invited to assist in the supervision and construction for the entire project. Synergizing various talents and related expertise from all around the world, Thames Town was honoured as the real estate in Shanghai with the most investment potential in 2004. After almost a year of undeterred efforts, the various English-style architectures have been built, gradually shaping the unique landscape of Thames Town.
